Attingo dissection course

Sleep Disordered Breathing, Surgically Oriented, Hands-On – Second International Dissection Course

sleep main small

In the past few years sleep disordered breathing surgery has undergone significant advances. Surgical management of SDB offers nowdays an effective alternative option to conservative approaches. The times in which oropharynx was considered the only site to manage are really far and now the multilevel surgery is considered as the golden standard. Furthermore, the ability to diagnose more accurately and tailoring the procedures to the real needs of the patient has dramatically improved, making surgery a valuable tool even in case of severe SDB patients. Preliminary to approach any surgical procedure a sound knowledge of surgical field anatomy is mandatory. For this reason, we devised a course with a real practical orientation, specifically dedicated to most popular and up to dated surgical procedures available for snoring and OSAHS, including trans oral robotic surgery. Anatomical, clinical and surgically-oriented lectures, anatomical dissection under strict supervision, and clinical cases discussion represent the key points of this hands on course. A movie-guided dissection perfectly represents our personal philosophy based on a “step-by-step” approach. The face-to-face relationship between the Faculty and participants makes this course an important starting point for all specialists who want to explore the fascinating field of sleep breathing disordered surgery. The terrific expertise of the international Faculty is the main resource of the course. The new anatomic training Centre offers an ideal site for a perfect dissection activity. While the task may be challenging, it is extremely exciting. We hope that participants will help us to reach our goal.
